Two-thirds of teachers are satisfied with their workplace.
The strongest predictors of teacher satisfaction are opportunities for professional growth, collaboration with peers, and the flexibility to ensure students do their best.
47% of teachers report feeling burned out “always” or “very often.”
Teachers work an average of 50 hours per week, with 40% spent on non-teaching activities.

 

Only 52% of teachers say they have everything they need to help students succeed.
This is even lower for those serving students of color (49%) and in urban schools (46%).
