Recent Findings

America’s schools received a 2.92 GPA.

The upward tick from last year’s 2.75 GPA shows signs of progress since the pandemic, underscoring the opportunities for improvement.

All 10 scored areas received higher ratings this year than last.
The biggest increase in students’ A grades was in how well schools teach skills relevant to their futures, though it still ranks among the lowest-rated areas overall.

Career exploration and excitement about learning remain the lowest-rated areas.
Both received a 2.54 or B- from students. Close behind were teaching skills relevant to students’ futures and adapting to students’ unique learning needs.
