Revisiting Gen Z after the election to learn more about their perspectives.

Reimagining education – to be more relevant, engaging and rigorous – depends on building our understanding of Gen Z and finding ways to collaborate with youth to drive change.

For the last year, the Walton Family Foundation has partnered with Murmuration and John Della Volpe of SocialSphere to do just that.

In spring 2022, we learned that Gen Z feels stressed, unprepared for life after graduation and has little faith in political leaders to understand their challenges.

In fall, 2022, we learned that Gen Z felt their voices were not being heard in decisions about their own lives. While this generation is frustrated with the pace and scale of change on important issues, they remain optimistic that it’s possible.

This new report shares insight into how they envision their futures and what they expect from public and private institutions.
